Examples of the Evils of Science

Funny how things work, huh? Meteorological science saves hundreds of lives by providing an accurate warning 40 minutes before a tornado was to strike (yes, not that much time but still better than nothing and as that link attests to it obviously saved a lot of lives). Now, I don't know about what the actual people in this town believed in so I'm not going to comment on them specifically, but you know that as this was going on, somewhere out there the same people that for years have been railing against evolution and science education in public schools are going to continue criticizing science as "theory not fact" (which isn't even a correct usage of those words) and pushing for the elimination of science from school curricula in favor of creationism or the more p.r. savvy "intelligent design."
Hypocrisy is funny.
